Yumegetsu (夢見月 Dreaming Moon) is the name of Saitou’s Zanpakuto. Yumegetsu's sealed state appearance is that of a traditional katana, with a light green handle and a circular tsuba. Saitou keeps the weapon sheathed on his left hip.

Shikai: Yumegetsu's release command is Illuminate the Skies of Reality ( 現実の空を照らす Genjitsu no sora o terasu) Upon being released, a bright flash envelops the vision of any surrounding Saitou's vicinity. When the flash dissipates, Yumegetsu has transformed from its Katana form into that of a long daito appearing sword with a black blade, along with a black and green handle. The Tsuba of the weapon is circular with three swirling prongs going around it, and is also black in color. The blade itself is fairly long, roughly twice the length of it's sealed form, and there is a fairly narrow gap from the bottom of the blade stretching up to it's middle section. Finally, beginning at the end of this gap, are six shark fin like protrusions, three on each side of the blade.

Shikai Special Ability: Kami no Te (神の手 Hand of God): Upon its release,Yumegetsu removes the boundaries of illusion and reality within a two feet radius of the user allowing him to control his own state of existence as well as the objects and beings within his radius. This ability allows him to remove and/or restore the actuality of objects and beings within his sphere of influence. If an attack that would otherwise kill him lands, Saitou will fade from existence and return to reality unharmed. Saitou refers to the usage of this ability as “defying destiny". While incredibly useful, the defensive usage of this power cannot be used repeatedly, as doing so heavily taxes Saitou's mental capacity for each successive usage. The standard amount of time between each usage to avoid such taxation is 90 seconds.
